Boeing, Lufthansa Announce Order for 747-8 Intercontinental

SEATTLE, Dec. 06, 2006 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] and Deutsche Lufthansa AG today announced the carrier ordered 20 747-8 Intercontinental jetliners plus 20 purchase rights. Lufthansa is the first airline to place an order for the passenger version of the fuel-efficient airplane.

The Lufthansa order, with a total average list-price value of $5.5 billion, is scheduled for delivery beginning in 2010. This order is a primary component of the airline's plan to modernize its fleet and increase environmental stewardship.

První zakazník pro pax verzi 748 a hned LH - docela good kseft pro boeing. Objedávka je taky na 7xA346 ale i tak je to docela facka pro Airbus. Jumbo alive.

LH je dulezity zakaznik, ale zajimave bude, az budou objednavat British Airways, které k Boeingu vzdycky tihli.... kazdopadne good job for Boeing. B777-200LR a B777-300ER zacinaly s jeste mensim poctem objednavek, které na sebe taky dlouho nechaly cekat a vida dnes.

Ja bych si i dokazal predstavit, ze pokud bude o letadlo uspesne, tak v poctu objednavek predci i A380. Pro mnohe je preci jenom segment o 420 lidech privetivejsi nez 520.
