CSA Pilot
Ahoj to everybody! I am sorry that I write to you in english, but I don´t speak so good czech yet. I am learning czech, so hopefully I will learn it soon. I have a question to you czech pilots, maybe you could help me.
Last year (oct 2004) I did the entry test for pilots at CSA. I passed all the tests, and was offered a pilot position at CSA. The CSA comission told me that I could expect to start in CSA in autumn 2005. Now it has been changed again, and I´ve heard that the new entry dates are from 01/2006. Does anybody on this forum have some more information? I would really appreciate it.
To all czech pilots, all the best, and good luck in your flying careers.
Hezky den!

Ahoj chlapci! I read your discussion above, and I am gonna explain it to you.
When I did the testings at CSA, all the tests where in czech language. All the interviews were in czech. It was difficult to understand all, but I was lucky and passed all the test. BUT, at my final interview with the CSA commission they told me that I had to learn the czech language, because this is a requirement. That is why I am taking lessons in czech now. Although, CSA told me that starting from next year (2006) they will remove the requirement for czech language, and forreign pilots can seek a position as pilot at CSA. This is nothing new that companies hire forreign pilots, it´s been going on for quite a long time. Because both your country, and mine (Sweden), are fully JAR-FCL members we can seek work in all of the union states. For example, I can look for work at CSA, you can look for work at SAS, Air France etc. That is the good thing with having JAR-FCL certificates. Of course, the competition is big, and many have language requirements, so it´s not easy out there. Eventually I hope that we all can sit at FL350 one day, whether it is at CSA, SAS, Lufthansa or some other company.
In the meantime, take care! I wish you all the best in your flying career.
