Hungarian-owned Wizz Air today is expected to launch two daily flights between London Luton and Warsaw and daily service between Luton and Gdansk. In addition, beginning Sept. 15 the budget carrier will begin daily flights from Warsaw to Dortmund and Brussels and will serve the new Copenhagen-Malmo route from Warsaw, Katowice and Gdansk with 10 weekly flights in total. With the additional flights, the airline will operate 87 frequencies to Poland.
Jinak nevim, jestli je rozumne Wizzairu zazlivat, ze opousti linky, na kterych se mu nedari. Svedci to alespon o urcite porci duchapritomnosti, ktera leckterym novym ceskym spolecnostem (nebo spise zanckam) sem tam chybi.
Je ale taky pravda, ze priste by si to mohly obslapnout lip.

Můj názor na zavedení a rychlé zrušení linky Wizzairu do PRG je poněkud jiný; podle mě prostě nemají dostatek letadel, která potřebují k pokrytí jiných nových linek (viz BUD - Londýn 3x denně). Vytížení se pohybovalo až okolo 60 pax na let což mezi 2-ma východoevrop. městy není tak špatné okamžitě po zahájení provozu. Snad se do PRG vrátí..

Je otázka, jestli už je to potvrzené a podepsané...? Na webu Wizz není nic a sám šéf letiště v BA mluví o jednáních...: "S touto spoločnosťou rokujeme veľmi intenzívne, Wizzair plánuje v budúcom roku z Bratislavy prevádzkovať lety do 13 destinácií," povedal v pondelok výkonný riaditeľ letiska Milan Kajan.

July 20 (Bloomberg) -- Airbus SAS, lagging behind Boeing Co. in orders this year, won a contract from low-fare carrier Wizz Air Ltd. for 20 A320s worth about $1.3 billion to help the carrier expand in central and eastern Europe.
The contract includes options for 20 additional planes and follows the airline's order a year ago for 12 A320s, Airbus said at the U.K.'s Farnborough International Airshow today.

dider píše:No trochu se to dalo cekat. Mne osobne Wizz nejak moc neimponuje, podobna strategie jako Ryan, takovy dobytcak. Na druhe strane ve stredni a vychodni Evrope je to zatim asi lepsi strategie. Lidi co vyzaduji kvalitu za rozumnou cenu je porad min nez lidi co zkousnou vsechno za minimalni cenu
Já myslím že smyslem dopravy, zvláště letecké a zvláště po Evropě, je dostat se co nejrychleji z bodu A do bodu B. Na serepetičky klasických aerolinek (s výjimkou zaoceánských letů) většina lidí kašle!

...to vypadá, že by byl potenciál pro bázování 2-3 kusů v Praze, aby mohli jít efektivněji po krku Sky Europe (stejně, jako že se cpou do BA)...

pkuran: ti co plati za tu dopravu z bodu A do bodu B nejvetsi penize a travi v letadle pul zivota na serepeticky nekaslou. A levne tarify uz nenabizi jenom U2,FR,NE atd...uz to umi i klasicky dopravci a casto mnohem lip. A taky nezpomen ze z Kosic do Osla se jen tak lehce point to point nedostanes...
Jo v stredni evrope zacina byt lowcostu az moc, mame tady Sky,CentralWings, WizzAir, dokonce i lidra trhu cesky SmartWings , nebudou to mit lehke na tak malem a proti svym protejskum v Anglii i mnohem skromnejsim poli lehke. Ale tak to ma byt. V letecke doprave v Evrope funguje diky politice OpenSky, striktnim omezenim EU a leteckych uradu docela cista konkurence a lepsi bere...
